One Year of KDJ Kids: Reflections, Gratitude & What's Ahead

A year ago, my daughter and I took a leap of faith and opened KDJ Kids — and I still can't believe how far we've come.

When we first started, we had a vision: to create a place where families and friends could find quality clothing and accessories for their little ones. What we didn't fully anticipate was the incredible community that would grow around that vision.

Why I Started

As a mom and grandmother, I know firsthand how hard it can be to find kids' clothing that's both adorable and built to last. I wanted KDJ Kids to be the answer to that — a curated shop full of pieces that kids love to wear and parents feel good about buying.

The Highs (and the Hard Days)

This year has been full of amazing moments — our first sale, our first in-person event, seeing little ones wearing our pieces out in the world. But it's also been a year of learning. Learning about inventory, shipping, marketing, and most importantly, listening to what our customers truly need.
